| 28th: I caught about a 3 foot shark and about 5 catfish. Those are the first catfish I have caught in a while. I still hate catching them. 29th: I had two poles out and was fishing with a gotcha lure on the third pole. Threw out gotcha this one time and pulled it the fist time and had weight on line pulled it again and nothing. Something hit it and cut the 65lb mono like it was nothing. I didn't even feel it. Then one of my other poles with cutbait got hit and I reeled in a slack line that didn't have a leader where it should have. I put a new leader on and I got another hit and the same thing, my leader was gone. I don't know what the hell was going on there, that has never happened to me before. I use 4 ft steel leaders. The only thing I can figure is special fish that ride the short current missed the bait by a few feet. 30th: I got a bluefish and this Red. It weighed 27lbs. Pics to come, they are not wanting to load right now.

| I was out there several days last week and the only time my line got cut was from a bluefish. I got him in but my leader was about cut. It went all the way thru when I was getting the hook out. Caught 12", 14" and 16" pomps. Also 30" and a 36" reds. Sandfleas were nowhere to be found. Could big bluefish be the culprits ?

I dunno the leader with the gotcha was mono, but like I said it was like 60 something pound test. They could cut it, but I would think I would have felt them though. This was like it was there, then 2 seconds later it wasn't. I was using 4ft steel leaders on the other poles. the poles would get one big jerk and the leaders were gone. I'm thinking something bigger. My friend said maybe a shark thrashing or something cut the line behind the leader.
