I got off work at 7 and the wind was barely blowing, and my girlfriend was already at home so I decided to give 3 mile another try. We were at 17th by 8:15 and fishing by 8:35. The tide was moving pretty good and there was a light chop on the way out. We got about 2 to 2 and a half hours of good fishing in before the wind picked back up. We were slaying the white trout right up close to the bridge but no sign of the reds Then the wind changed and blew the boat around until we were almost touching the bridge. We started reeling in the lines so I could move the boat and bam about 3 feet from the boat on top of the water while I was reeling in a nice red tagged it. So while I battled to keep the red away from the bridge, my girl managed to keep the boat from banging against the pilings. I got the red to the boat and she netted it

I didn't measure it or weigh it, since the boat really needed to be moved. It was probably about 28 or 29 inches and maybe a little over 7 lbs. After we moved we continued to catch white trout left and right. Next it was Ashley's turn with the reds her bait had actually drifted under the boat and she was fishing about 15 ft down when her pole bowed up and her drag started to whine (ahhhh music to my ears) she fought him for about 2 mins but he somehow managed to shake the hook Oh well she will get one next time. That was it for the reds, but in general the fish were biting much better than last night. We managed about 20 or more white trout and the 1 bull red. All fish were released due to an over abundance of fish at my house We used power bait mullet, gulp new penny, and gulp smoke mullet. Planning my next trip for Friday night if the weather permits. All and all it was a good night on the water.

I was hoping to take my wife out there tonight but it looks like we might get blown away if I do.  Better luck next week.

Take care. Kenny
