Caught 5 slot reds in the sound this morning using gold spoon.  Arms are not long enough to take a good picture from the kayak.

Nice catch man!

How deep was it where you caught them?

Is that a Hobie?

It is a Hobie Mirage Sport.  I was catching them in close 2' to 3' and they were hanging around schools of bait.  I would have caught more but right after it heated up some guys in an aluminum boat came within 20' of me with a castnet trying to catch mullet for bait.  I try and stay away from people fishing when I am in my boat.

I LOVE to catch Reds! Sounds like a very fun day out man! Great job and I hope you had a good dinner! I am still a little leary about being in a Kayak though. I give you cedit for that!

There're a couple of Mullet fishermen in that area that are total inconsiderate boneheads, they have chased the reds away from me more than once, bonifide "Jerk-Offs"!!

I'll try to stay clear if i see you, i'm about to put my boat at the beach and fish from there!! Good luck and nice catch!!!

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR
THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES
SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!
