We went for about 4 hours.  Very windy, ended up with 5 decent flounder and about 2 dozen large crabs.

Glad you got a few. This wind has sure taken its toll on my freezer supply of flounder fillets so far this year.

Yes, that west wind has been tough lately. Nice catch though!

Sweet! I was going to give it a try last night...but figured it wasn't worth battling the wind.. 5 flatties is definitely a meal!

Haven't hit the Floundering in a while now! You're right the wind from the W, don't always make a forgiving trip at night. Over here, If its a SW I try theS side of the bay and bayous, then if it is W, I try the SW edge of the bayous if I can get to them. Problem is, the mouth of the rivers are on the NE side, and that's not a fun ride in the dark! It usually starts to lay down some from how I remember the nights being. Wish it would hurry!

yeah the wind sucked but it gave me a reason to try some areas that I didnt think held fish.  Apparently they hold a few.
