so i rode on a 12 hour charter today aboard the lady em today. had 8 guys in the boat and they wanted to do grouper fishing.... got out of the pass and the weather looked pretty. run 40 miles southeast before we did the first stop. made a big loop and had the last stop around 30 miles out.
caught 4 gags, 3 reds, 4 scamps a load of mingos- some of them over 20 in- some triggers and 20 amberines. all in all a good trip. but actually a dont want to write about the approx. 50-60 red snappers we caught. most over 10 lbs. . couldnt run a flyline cause the snappers got it all the time
the waves picked up and we had solid 6-7 foot swells coming in. it got even a little tricky coming thru east pass...
ferdinand
ps.
had alot scattered grass and flying fish about 35 miles southeast.
