So last saturday night a couple of us decided to go fishing out on blackwater bay. It seemed like nothing was going to go right. We got out there as the tide was slowly moving out. We decided to throw a chum ball out and see if it would attract anything. We really didn't expect to catch much. We were having a pretty good time chilling and watching the sunset when my girlfriend's father hooks in to a monster speckled trout. We caught a few more speckled trout and it seemed as if the bite had slowed some. Just then Jenna spots a black tip shark in the lights just off the dock. All of our poles were set up with 2/0 circle hooks with 25 lbs flourocarbon leader but we decided to try our luck anyways with some cut bait we had been using earlier. After a minute or two Jenna's pole takes a monster hit and snapped her line instantly... after rigging her pole back up she takes another hit with the same result. After that the shark hits my pole and the circle hook did it's job, hooked the shark in the right place in the corner of her mouth. We sat there for a few more minutes when we spot another black tip swimming in and out of the lights. It hits Jenna's pole once more and she sets the hook in just the right place again, right in the corner of her mouth. By the end of the night we ended up landing three nice speckled trout, one stingray, one gar fish, and two nice black tip sharks! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Very nice! Curious...what were you using for chum? How close to the shoreline were you guys?
Those are some sweet Blacktips!
