I get off work on the 23rd and head home and the notion hits me to go fishing. See normally I refrain from fishing after work during the week because I am one of those individuals that will stay out all night and not care about it the next day except when I am dying of sleep deprevation. anyhow I called up two of my good friends and we head out of sherman cove at around 7pm and head straight over to 3 mile bridge to see what we can get. well the current was a motherF*@#$ last night and had a hell of a time getting the anchor set ended up repositioning at least 3 times. once we finally got settled in and got fishing it was decent. LOTS of trout to small but lots. as the sun fell behind the horizon I dropped the drop light I have into the water and soon we had a baitball so thick under the boat it was blocking out the light from the drop light. Huge trout and ladyfish were crashing the baitball and we were catching fish with bare hooks it was a blast even though they were undersized. we also were catching small 8 inch baby sharks like it was cool on shrimp and squid. Well we caught a lady fish and rigged up some as cut bait and threw it out. it no more than hits the water and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzscreaming drag from my buddies little light action rod. after about 10 minutes of finessing this fish in he has his first shark a decent 3 footer not bad. well we ended up catching at least 90 to 100 fish easy  all catch and release except for the ladyfish those we were using for bait. and 4 bigger sharks in range from 3-4 feet in length. All were blacktips. Well it was starting to get lat I would say around 1130pm so we started to wrap it up to head back to sherman cove. got everything back in the boat and turned the ket to start the motor and CLICK all lights went out and the motor made that sickening dead battery sound. released the key and the lights came back on. now I was thing SH*T gotta be at work a 615am this is going to suck. and yes to day has sucked so far and I still have a few more hours to go. anyways back to the story.. .thank god I inversted in getting the towboat US coverage. I called them at about midnight but had to wait about 1-2 hours for them to get to me to get a jump ended up finally getting home and layed my head on the pillow at 4am needless to say I was about 3 hours late to work this morning. went like this  when I got hereto work......" Hey whats up Gilligan! buy a second battery and you won't have that problem!" so I have been getting shit all day but it is cool I still had fun catching fish and even though we were stuck out there until 3am we still had a blast. got pics on the way have to get them from my buddy.
