We had heard a report that the YF were so thick that you could open the tuna door and they'd just swin in the boat. This came from a Charter Captian and they were out on Monday/Tuesday. Not the case when we were there. None, Nothing, Nada, Zilche. Not even a blackfin. The water was crap... Only positive was that there was tons of bait and some nice weedlines are forming. We did catch 1 Mahi but we were closer in by the bentleg rig on a nice formed line Dirty water on 1 side and even dirtier water on the other side. Not good fishing right now but when the good water comes back in and if the bait stays.... look out.

| That charter captain was probably pulling your leg cause I haven't heard any good reports from that area in at least a few weeks. Not to say it is impossible, but it sounds like BS to me.

Dont listen to tunapopper...hes full of crap. Tuna were everywhere yesterday and we caught 3 over 100#s at the beer can.....hahahaha not really. Yeah looks like that captain was right about the tuna, but wrong about location...by about 80nm haha. All of the "close" rigs are and have been in crap for about a month now. Hope it changes soon.

That charter capt should have about 200 gallons of butt whippen taken out on him. As bad as it is to say, we almost need a tropical storm in the gulf to change these water conditions. Been a long time since you have to run 100+ miles to find CLEAN water.
