chris how about a wanted section. I might have something laying around the house that i dont want or need and a forum member could really use. Forum members helping forum members. Like right now i need a aluminum dog box, maybe some one would see that and sell it or give it away.

Why not just put "WTB" (want to buy) at the beginning of the subject line in the regular classifieds section?

Just my opinion, but I think that section would probably get much more viewer traffic than a whole section dedicted to Wanted items.

A wanted section is a very good idea for a simple reason. It doesn't matter if you put (wtb) in the listing some people get confused with being mixed in the section that is stuff for sale. Some will also say add in a free stuff section as well. That is also a good idea.So add both in and really open up the forsale section that way no one gets confused .But also put a time limit on items forsale. This way we don't clog the computer that is running the PFF site.

Some have Personal computers that run slow because of trash and old stuff in them . Clean out old postings say 2 months.Or give people the option to save an old post in personal profile section.

i think it is better to have different sections like wanted to buy added. look at the bassbarn.com forum and the only have a sale section. there are trucks cars boats parts ps2 ipods wtb in front of some adds.  it is a pain in the ass if you are looking for boats. i like how pff seperates sections - boats , fishing related, hunting related, diving ect..  it makes it quicker so you dont have to scan thru crap you are not interested in.  i think a wanted section would be a good one. so many people have stuff they dont use and would probably give it away for a good deal.
