I'll tell you what, when I was a kid, every hardware store and  Western Auto in the world had kids Go-karts for sale out front. The wife and I decided it was time for the boy to get as Go-kart for Christmas this year and figured it would be easy.

Guess what, we can't find anybody that sells them. Im looking for the old stlye 2 seater with a 6HP Briggs or Tecumpsa engine, you know, like a Murray or something simple. I dont  want one of these things  they are selling at the flea markets that are like 90cc and will go 30 MPH,.thats too much machine for a 7 year old.

Does anybody know where I can pick one up?

thanks,

Mike

You may want to check Pep Boys...I saw some go-carts, 4 wheelers, and motorcycles in there just a few days ago.

Hell when we were kids we could ride on the streets, but now with all the additional traffic it's a thing of the past. Although it was against the law back when I was a kid we would run till a neighbor called LEO then quit till the next day/weekend and start over.

There were a couple on Craigslist last week. Call Pontoon Depot in Navarre, 939-5200. They had a couple last Christmas.

The Snapper dealer Just North of Nine Mile on Old Palafox, and Hendricks Supply in Molino sell them, but be prepared for some sticker shock. Probably about $800-$1000 for what your looking at.

Thanks again for the replies. I feel like a moron though, I should have mentioned that I am looking for a new one, unless it is a used one "like new." The reason is, I know how I treated mine when I was that age and normally they are pretty well shot by the time somebody is ready to sell. I will check the place out on 9 mile road, maybe they will be looking to move them with the ecomony sagging.

thanks again, this place rocks.
