If they made a deal for $100 + shipping ($20 is too high, but not 'totally' unreasonable-unless they agreed on 'actual shipping cost') for a reel that was pictured in a photo & emailed to the buyer- & BooBoo sent a different, inferior, trashed reel, there is NO defending that... (If that's not what happened, then I guess we'll never know what did happen will we ???) But why would this 'yank' want to come on our forum & start all this '$h1+', unless he felt he'd been completely F'd over ???

| I'd say that reel does look a little ridiculous and unusable. I had a customer in here this morning who had seen this thread and also stated that booboo is a nice guy and had some real nice stuff for sale but if thats true and he does have nice stuff to offer than why would he give you this POS? I don't know but he said he had several nice Z series penns that were in great condition so it beats me.

Exactly my point. And the reel he showed me in a picture in my email. Was nowhere near that reel that I receieved. Liek this is some sort of joke and I didnt know what I was buying. I am a reel restorer. I think I know what I am talking about and know what I am in for. I wouldnt even dare to try to sell that to anyone. Even the drag knob is broken and is useless.

If you look real close that is the paint on the reel and thats the base aluminum of the reel. I dont have a sandblaster nor do I sand blast my reels. Get you eyes check buddy and here is the pic of the reel that BOO BOO sent me. Damn and I have all rights to have sand in my vagina!! i can bet any1 who got a reel in this condition would say the same thing. I dont BS or play games. I buy and fix them. Give them off to my freinds up here who I fish with and trade them off at our markets. So here is the picture that he sent me. And its NO BULLSHIT!!!

Thats the reel he TOOK PICS of. And the reel that I gotten is the reel with the deposites and the screws cracked in the bearing housing. Dont tell me what I received and what I have. That is the first 706z that I had purchased. All other reels were small penn z series and spinfisher 700's. So No1 is bullshitting you or lieing. Answer me this. Why would a person just come on a forum and try to have some1 kicked offf for no reason??? Answer that. I can assure you a freind of mine from the south told me about this site. So thats why I registerd. and thought there were more people out there like him. I bought 6 704zs for 200 dollars. SIX REELS!!!! And I will show you the reels he sent me. And you can see the difference.

this is the cheapest 706z that bubba had and this is the reel that bubba sent a 706z comes with a coffee grinder handle and a gold spool unless someone has robbed the handle off of it and depending of the year made they have a green with silver side plate, then came a solid green then a solid black and then a black with a gold spool/ all had coffee grinder handles. the old ones have metal side plates and new ones have a plastic side plates just went through and looked at 12 706zs and 7 of them have plastic sides learn about your history.

It sounds to me like you are going to get nowhere if what you want is your money back painlessly...if he says send the crappy reel back prior to the refund, maybe thats the only answer. It's obviously a non-functioning reel, that is, you'll never use it right? It really looks like even with your skills in reel restoration, its pretty hopeless...
I work in Customer service, I have unhappy and pissed off customers every day demanding refunds and I admit, how they approach us has alot to do with how we react to their demands. You're in a crappy situation, and probably the best thing you can and should do is send the reel back, hope he sends the refund, and put this behind you. He already has been banned from the Forum, and will definately have trouble on other Forums and everyone talks to one another all over the Panhandle.
He sounds like someone who's "pride" has been bruised and is refusing to help out of "principle", some folks are just like that...txtPost_CommentEmoticon('');
