| Met up with a friend, Chris, and hit the pier this morning hoping for a nice bonita bite. A stiff E wind and mediocre water clarity really slowed things down. While I was there(7-9:30) there was only one bo-bo and one flounder brought over the rail. There were one or two other bonito hooked up and lost, and Chris broke off a bull red. I tried to work some live shrimp around the pilings in hopes of a flounder but to no avail. It was my first time out to the pier since before Ivan, and it was a nice change of pace. No jerks, just a bunch of guys trying to catch a fish or two. We'll see what the weather does next week...might have to try round 2. Tight lines -Jason

Glad to hear about the people out there NOT being jerks. I'm gonna head there this morning with the kids.
