left the dock at about 630 saturday the 20th to a very foggy morning. was able to run 25-30 knots the whole way out. we hit the 30mile bridge rubble where me and andy both took a shot at a good grouper, probably in the 20lb range...we both missed...now if you have ever dove with me you know that i usually don't take the shot if i dont think i can hit the fish...the water has the grouper frisky and they are moving pretty quick. that was the only good grouper that we saw on that dive...got a couple aj's and came to the boat. we moved on to the sylvia tug and the lcm ship to find a couple more legal grouper which we got and the endangered snapper were everywhere. i took a 17 pounder off of one of these (cant remember which but there wasn't much to see) we headed in to some live bottom areas that i have close to the pass and there the grouper were. i had already done my 4 dives for the day so i kept the boat live and let andy and brandon roll on the spot...andy came back with 3 good grouper on that dive and we called it a day. the viz in shore was awsome...50-60 foot.

all in all we got our limit of keeper aj's and 6 nice grouper

cheers guys/gals

Good day Sean, it's nice to hear that the vis is a little better close again.  What, no sharks this time?  Lucky you.  Nice fish though.
