East river launch off Hwy 87

Has anyone launched at the East river bridge off Hwy 87 in Navarre and fished out at the mouth of East Bay. The way the wind has been blowing I thought that might be a calmer place my son and I could try. We like to fish artificials but are relativly new to artificial fishing what to use etc in that area. Have fished all over the bay around Garcon point and redfish point but never in the mouth of East river. Thanks Fishindad1 P.S. Would also like any info on fishing Choctaw Bay where to launch etc. 16.5 Kirkland cc with 50 merc force. Team Screamin Drag

I fished there a couple of weeks ago. Launched my 21 CC there with no problem at all. That creek / river there that runs to East bay holds alot of specks. We drifted it for a couple of hours throwing artificials and caught quite a few specks. It's a fun lil' place to fish when the weather is crappy. We also saw two large Bald Eagles back there as well.
