Here are a couple of little trout I pulled out of a secret hole. I was actually looking for redfish but these will do. Both were a shade over 24". On the day before I caught over 50 redfish out of the same place with about 8-10 being in the slot. Sorry about the pic quality, I had to use my phone.

Sure, no problem. One was caught on cut bait under an Equalizer rig in about 3-4 ft of water and the other was caught on a live pinfish under the same. My nephew actually caught one that was a 1/2 inch bigger than my biggest.

Nope, the reds were all caught on live shrimp fished on a red jig head under a dock. It was funny that on one day I was getting reds on almost every cast and the next day not a one.

Nice trout!  I didn't know specs would eat cut bait.

when i worked at GBB&T, a guy brought a 5.75lb trout in that was caught on cutbait and a plastic coated wire leader.

true story.

Yep, where I'm from we use cut bait all the time for big trout. Big trout in the Aucilla River tear cut bait up. you should try it sometime.
