| Left Joe's Bayou around 11:00, loaded up on pinfish at a bay spot, and plan was to check out the seas, if too rough, come back and fish the Destin Bridge. About 6 boats under the bridge, one caught a small grouper as we passed.
Seas were 2-4', decided to try it, headed to the south west, stayed within 10 miles. Stopped at several spots 6-9 miles out, hooked on something big at one, had me hanging on. Knot came loose or broke at the swivel after about 10 minutes, really disappointing. Caught some good red snappers, small groupers 15-20"and this fellow.

Ended up on the Janet, hooked another probable good sized grouper, leader broke after 5 minutes. Need to work on my knot tying and leaders. Another boat showed up and were butterfly jigging, hooked up almost immediately to some amberjacks. Looked like they were all under 30" though, probably caught 6-7 in 30 minutes. About ready to head back, and pulled this guy in off a pinfish, so had something to take home.
And back home before the sun got down.
