Headed out into the fog at sunrise to try and get back into those reds. Saw some nice fish pushing wakes near the grass so started fishing the skinny water. No luck there and moved a little deeper which quickly produced a fish on the gold spoon. Once the wind picked up and the fog lifted we switched locations. Got some long casts in with the assistance of the wind and hooked into a nice red. After ripping some line off the fish turned towards the boat and got off. I thought for sure it broke me off but the spoon was still there. Thats the first red I've lost on the spoon and its driving me crazy. Missed a couple more and headed to the basin. Saw some fish but no takers and called it a day.
