The buildings from left to right on TV are T Sol Johnson's law offices, the Santa Rosa Republican Party headquarters, something else then the Imogene on the far right. Might be another business in there, just going off memory. Very sad to see these old buildings burn. Also weird that this is the 100 year anniversary of the fire that destroyed downtown Milton (according to PNJ).

I think the building you cant name is the, Mudd pit coffee shop or something like that...   Also If you read the comments, someone said.. That someone knocked over a hurricane latern, and left the room so that started the fire... Who knows if that is true or not..

Very sad.

By the looks of it my guess would be the Imogene is a total loss.  Sucks for Milton.  That building is a part of it's history, and now it looks like it is history.

Imogene is salvageble. A lot of water damage along with fire and smoke damage.

Here is an assessment........

Structual Only Inspection Summary:

Santa Rosa County Inspection & Compliance Department visited the site of the Downtown Milton fire and found fairly minor structural damage to the majority of the exterior walls. The South side, front/center appears to need engineered stabilization or removal. The North (rear) has major damage to the center portion of the masonry walls. Additionally, the East (behind the theater) has major masonry wall damage. Interior damage to the theater is minor, with exception of the balcony area on the West. Support beam appears to have twisted/rolled pulling the joist away from the beam.

This pic show a lot.....

Not mentioned was Milton's " museum " or what little bit they had. It told alot of history of this little login town. If you never visited it, you probably won't miss it, but there was alot of years of collecting in there . I have lived here my whole life, I hope they can save some history. By the looks of the pictures, they may be able to save the store fronts by resuring them. There was a ' Great Fire " here exactly 100 years ago, in 1909, speculated to be caused by a lantern and was rebuilt. Imagine that, I just hate to see it gone!

Had heard this morning several of the buildings had to come all the way down for fear of the front collapsing into the highway. Not sure if that is the truth or not but it came from someone who would now. I hate it for the historical buildings to be gone but I especially hate it for TSol Johnson and his law firm (far left).

I have some very good intel that says this was an accident because of the construction going on behind Imogene Theater! That is sad, all because of a construction accident! On possibly a good note though, does this mean they will 4 lane hwy 90 now!

Unlikely on the Four lanes. From what they have said so far, the Ima Gene is structurely ok and they are already talking repairs.
