www.catchlivebait.com I build handmade commercial pinfish traps that have produced awesome results. I have never seen a trap fill up as these traps do and there are several captains around that have used the trap and can vouch for the results. Simply put, this trap outperforms any trap that I have personally used or seen. Even during the winter I was able to catch pinfish when few were able to. I am currently buildingfour trap sizes. The first trap (Offshore Model)has two inlets and measures approximately 18" L, 13"W and 11" H and a "Commercial Model" version that has 4 inlets and measures approximately 24" L, 13"W and 11"H and the smallest trap Inshore model is 14"L x 13"W x 11"H and the "Tournament Model" that measure 24" wide 24" long and 23" high. The tournament Model has a bait container large enough to hold 5lbs of cut bait or more or several frozen blocks of chum. The traps are made from 16 gauge "Aquamesh"galvanized welded wire and handmade to last. Traps have worked best for me with 1-2 lbs of cut in half sardines or cigar minnows dropped directly into the trap and left out the night before a trip on or near grassy bottom. Commercial model will hold up to approximately 15-18 dozen pinfish,Offshore size trap will hold up to approximately 50-75 pinfish. Commercial trap $69.99,Offshore sized $44.99, Inshore Model $34.99, Tournament Model $99.99.

Traps sold locally at Top Gun Tackle, Outcast Bait and Tackle, Daybreak Marina, Hot Spots Bait and Tackle, Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle and Dizzy Lizzy's Bait and Tackle. All items can be ordered through any of the mentioned dealers.

E-mail pinfishtrap@gmail.com or send me a PM. Patent Pending. FedEx shipping is available. With gas prices the way they are, shipping is a great way to get the trap delivered to your door if you live out of town. Shipping to a business address is cheaper. Please PM or e-mail with a full shipping address and phone number for a quote to include shipping and the box.

Aquamesh® is the only wire fabric in the world specifically designed and perfected for marine use. By using only Aquamesh, the quality of traps consistently exceeds expectations. In the rugged coastline of the North Atlantic, lobstermen report that traps made of Aquamesh products provide an average of between 8 to 15 years of use--with some lasting much longer. Delivering superior strength and durability, Aquamesh becomes a natural first choice for ocean use--an environment extremely rough on materials and equipment.

Crab Trap measures 12" by 24" x 24" and is a 3 funnel design for maximum performance and the same quality stainless steel rings are used in the construction of the crab trap.

The Bait Pen measures 24" around and 24" high with a large bait door. This bait pen is made with 1/2" x 1/2" galvanized "Aquamesh" and coated with a environmentally friendly PVC coating. The pen is made SOLID and ROUND so that your valuable bait is safe and does not get damaged!

Inshore Model $34.99

Offshore Model $49.99

Commercial Model $69.99

Tournament Model $99.99

Crab Trap
3 Funnel $34.99(Shown) 2 Funnel $29.99 (Not Shown)

Bait Pen $129.99 (1/2"x1/2" Mesh)

Notice how ROUND it is!

Here are some quotes of current owners:

Bought one of richie's traps a couple of months ago (coastal model)....Set out his and a walmart trap about 20 yds from each (same depth)...Walmart cought a dozen, his cought almost 4 dozen and is HALF the size of the wally world one.....Just thought I'd throw in some advertisement Richie!!

Thanks

Justin

Likewise Richie... useing my Coastal model on a regular bais. And, I mean getting nice numbers within minutes. Unbelievable!

"Sharks are no longer at the top of the food chain!"

"If Mondays were fish, I would throw them back!"

I can attest to the effectiveness of these traps. I've tried them and they will catch pinfish when other traps will not. They outcatch the conventional traps probably about 4 to 1. They are amazing!

Hey guys & gals,

Anyone that wants a first hand testimony, just give me a call. Capt. Richie has got the market cornered on a new style pinfish trap that works better than any other trap out there. I have set my trap in the winter when there would be no one catching any pinfish and 12 hours later it was carrying loads of bait.

I haven’t figured out why they will go in his trap and not my trap (that was purchased from the local bait store) but his hands down catches more bait. I dropped his next to mine with the same amount of chum in each, 12 hours later his brought up 6 dozen pinfish and mine brought up 10 pinfish. This is not the only time I tested the results either. Several times last year when we were headed offshore he would drop his and I would drop mine in another location, every time his out produced mine by at least double! Needless to say I now own several of the Richie traps.

Don’t wait to get your order in; it’s not long till the season is here.

Capt. Eddie

Got my coastal model in the water today. It was only in about two hours and had already caught about 10 pinfish. These traps are the bomb! Thanks for making a better mousetrap (so to speak) nice to meet you today.

I have a new batch of wire on the way and the traps will be better than ever.  The new traps will be built out of a heavier gauge "Aqua Mesh" wire, the only kind in the country with no toxins that gets released into the water and teh wire is designed for use in water.  The new traps will also be larger(Coastal Model) than previously and will include all stainless steel fastening rings.  There are three sizes now.  An inshore model $30.00, a coastal model $45.00 and a commercial model $70.00.  The new traps are even more awesome than before and only a slight price increase on the new larger Coastal model.  I should have the wire this week I hope and will have traps ready after this weekend.  I have reservations for some at this point, so dont delay on ordering your trap as the warm weather is right around the corner.   PM me or e-mail me at pinfishtrap@gmail.com

Dang Richie - changing em up right after I get mine! I might need one of these new ones too!

Guys/Gals - these pinfish traps rock. I haven't had a chance to go fishing since I got mine, but I did put it out on my dock somewhere around the ICW for about 2 hours with only 5 cut up cigar minnows in it. Had about 25 PERFECT size pinfish for trouts and reds. I had it set so I would only get the smaller ones, but it's adjustable so you can let the bigger ones in too for them grouper trips. I was ticked off...first time in a while I've had the good live bait with no chance to go fishing. Usually, I'm going fishing and no good live bait!!!

Get one of these while you can before Richie starts fishing all the time and slows down on making em!

Hall

Hall,

I'll get you set up with a new one once I get going on the new ones.  Call me after next week and we can hook up.  Thanks for the comments, the traps really do kick a$$.  The new wire should help the traps last even longer, but will pay for themselves after on ly a trip or two with how much live bait they will catch.

Richie,

I see you now have 3 sizes and I think the best for me would be the inshore model if that is okay. Thanks

First like to say nice to meet you Richie, hell of a nice guy. Second, I picked up my inshore on Monday and I dont have a testimonial yet, but the trap looks like it is going to do some real good. Great craftsmanship in the way he made them. Again thanks Richie
