Started about 1100; river was rough as a cob strong West wind. Tried artificial no luck. Went to live shrimp ended up with 12 specs, caught several more small ones. Threw the net twice and 29 silver mullet. Home by 1500. Ate supper then froze the rest for later.

sounds like a good day. I'm trying to decide where to go today, and I think you have helped me greatly. Is there a public launch on magnolia river? how far up the river did you find them? Thanks,Kevin

The easiest launch is hwy 98 @ Fish River bridge. Heading toward the bay Magnolia River is on the Left (East). Caught all of them near the reed beds about three bends up the river near Nolte creek. Good Luck
