Put the boat in this morning at Billy's- Lord, the water was LOW!  I had to push and paddle the boat to reach water deep enough to lower the motor.  Went upstream to some old pilings.  Bite was slow, but the little- 1to 3 pound -rat reds were thick, and they liked my shrimp. Caught about a dozen- let them go, and then started catching sheephead when the tide started coming in.  Took three home- all 5+ pounds- really nice river sheepshead.  Pulled hard, and I'll bet they will be good fried up right tonight with red beans and rice on the side. Glad to see the striped fish back and biting- Good fishing to all- Ed Mashburn   PS- I'd post pictures, but my machine and the forum don't get along, for some reason.

I just ate those sheepies with red beans and cole slaw.  Beer batter and hush-puppy mix for breading- just about the best fried fish I've had in a while.  Good fishing to all- Ed Mashburn

Nice catch man, looks like you have a decent red in there too.  Nothing better than redfish on a half shell!

Johnny- Motor's running fine- I really like fishing from the little fella.  I like the way that the boat launches at just about any place.  The boatrides really nice in a chop, too.  Appreciate the interest- Ed mashburn
