Woke up to very comfortable temps and promising fishing conditions. Started out with a slip rig with live shrimp just keeping em close to the pylons. Circle hooks are the way to go! No need to master the art of setting the hook on a Sheepshead... We would wait for the taps and just pull up slowly to feel the fight of the Sheepshead. Caught 8 in all. Everyone of them fat. Good fun on my light spinning outfit (10 lb. power pro and 10 lb. flurocabon leader)

Ended up being a beautiful day out on the water and we saw many dolphins and even spotted a LARGE bullshark (7 or 8 footer) cruisin the west side of the bridge.

Caught a number of small grouper including this 15 incher:

This Sheepy ended up being dinner, measuring around 19 inches and weighing a good 5 pounds:

Probably the most memorable shot of the day:

(just a word of advice, use sturdy circle hooks. I prefer a #1 owner mutu light circle hook)

Nice Fish.  Where's the best (cheapest) place in destin/Fort Walton to get some fiddler crabs?

Pat's Bait and Tackle near the foot of Brooks Bridge on the north side. A dozen costs around 2 bucks.

I've heard Half Hitch has fiddler crabs for a dollar a dozen in Destin. i have not confirmed that though. Live shrimp work just as well.

Catch em up.

A bull shark? hmmm, how many did you see? Might be time to start after them again.
