wonder if anyone out there floats their boat without bottom paint.....and how long it can go before you need to pull it to clean it. Ive had several boats, and dont have a lift on my dock, so i had all of them bottom painted. I didnt like having to paint them, messes up the speed, looks, and isnt cheap to have done, plus might be moving soon, and if not plan to install a lift... my question is floating a boat without bottom paint in salt water, how long does it take typically to start growth/blister. I dont mind on pulling it once or twice a month to wash it down, just trying to get an idea if im going to ruin/stain it up by doing this. and what would one expect to pay to paint the bottom of a 25 ft center console.

In the summer, you'll get growth in a matter of days.  If you slack on cleaning it, you'll end up with barnacles and damage if you don't pull and clean once each week or two.
