| I haven't been out in a while, and I had a short windowthis afternoon so I figured, "Why not?" I went down past portofino and got set up at the first place I looked. I didn't spend nearly as much time reading the water before starting to fish as I normally do. I basically was in a place where I could cast past the bar and fish the near shore side of it. Using fresh shrimp I managed 2 pomps(14-15 inches) before I headed home. Some people down from me were fishing some better looking water, and I saw them hook into a couple of stout fish. I assume reds or sting rays judging from the length of the fight, but I never saw either of the fish. They also had one or two other bites that were smaller. I managed a fresh dinner and a little sun in the 2 hours that I was there. Only a couple more weeks and it'll be Fish on! every time out. Oh I can't wait. I'll add the pics later tonight. Tight lines. -Jason Here ya' go
