after getting out close to a dozen times i was finally able to get a couple of fish today. went out to crystal beach, just S. of the Mid-Bay bridge in Destin, about 10:30 this morning. Had one pomp, about 14' on after about 20 minutes & a black drum not more than 5 minutes after getting my line back in. caught them both on a gulp flea....after that not much else. but good to finally get something this year.
bout to have fresh pompano for dinner & look forward to this next couple of weeks.

was pretty muddy close to shore for the majority of the day (over here in south walton..i assume the same near the mid-bay)

| ya it was pretty murky over here....forgot to mention that i caught both fish just on the other side of the 1st sandbar....only about 45 yards out.
