Conditions were pretty much the same as my last redfish report 2 weeks ago so me and my friend robert (LET THE AIR OUT)decided to give it a try. We pretty much started out in the same place we always start and there was a lot of mullet jumping every where. It didn't take long before i got the first redfish in the boat (21"). not a bad start! A few minutes later robert gets a nice needle fish         ha!          Then he follows with another 21" redfish. I hook into another nice redfish ,but he gets off after a short run . the bite dies off so we try another area that usually produces and nothing. We have about 45 min. before dark and decide to head back to our first spot and work it again. I pick up another 21" red before  we start to leave. The water is too shallow to use the outboard so we have to use the trolling motor to get out to deeper water." Might as well fish fish our way out". I was just about to put my rod up when  i  decide to make one last cast and boy did it pay off. A 25' redfish grabs my gulp and takes off,    and he has some friends with him! robert starts to get the net and i tell him to cast out near me but he already has his gulp off ,so he throws one on at warp speed and makes his cast. As soon as his hits the water "Fish on" . I get mine to the boat pretty quick and man the net for him . His puts up a much harder fight and takes him around the boat a few times and turns out to be a 26" red. I couldn't have picked a better way to finish off a fishing trip than with a double up!                 Sorry about the bad photos . camera phone.

Once again we found a way to put a couple good fish in the boat in a short day of fishing.  Maybe one of these days I will let you catch the bigger fish.  I think you only beat me once show far.

Good job, Eric. I cannot wait to get out there. Maybe next week with the kids on spring break.

Nice fish! You need to invest in a good digital camera.
