| Jerry's Drive Inn---good food, cold beer, and good prices. Try the grouper dinner. If you live in Cantonment or Molino go to Webb's Diner. They have great food. The place is tiny but you won't be disappointed. It's just past Molino Rd. on the west side right by the gas station.
============= That's my story and I'm stickin' to it

| When your tired of the seafood try Zaxby's. Gulf Breeze by Lowes and Creighton Rd. Its a chain but I like to think its an above average one. Jerrys drive in would also be a great choice for variety. I can't pass up the chicken livers. They give you a pile of them. Enjoy your stay! SHB

| Crazy Horse and Jerry's are the best along with Hub's at Galvez Landing . on the other hand East River Smokehouse ain't that far, depending on where you are staying. These are where this Local goes.. FWIW

Are you telling me that CARRABBA'S, LOGANS and SONNYS BBQ dont have GOOD food?? In my opinion these CHAINS have pretty good food, I don't care HOO you ask. Well, if you ask me, I'd say Sonny's has Horrible BBQ, while Carraba's and Logans are somewhere in between good and just decent. But, you'll have to fill me in on their progress, because I'll never be back at any of those. Come-on, these chains are found in just about any city in the US...same packaged, frozen, shipped, thawed food in all the cities. Think outside the box and be original and unique, then give this man some real choices to eat. There have been some great restuarants mentioned by other posters. SKEET, you should try this place called Red Lobster. I hear they have great popcorn shirmp!

Go to CARRABBA'S, prices are a little on the high end, but the food is some of the best. Also if your into chicken, the Chicken Trio is a must, it's not on the menu so you've got to ask for it.
Really? It's a chain.
Yes, it really is good. I live around the corner and we get takeout there at least 2 times per month. And as much as I hate chain restaurants, it really is good. Now, I surely wouldn't recommend it as the spirit of dining in Pensacola, but it is good.
For good food in Pensacola at reasonable prices, I'm saying Jerry's Drive Inn, Slipps, Chets and maybe Madisons.
Higher up, Fish House and Atlas are overpriced but consistently ok. Jacksons has stunk lately, so good thing its been bought out. Global Grill is good. Eat is usually good and McGuires is unique and awesome most of the time. And, in reality, McGuires is the only place worthy of bragging about in our whole town since Hopkins closed.

If you decide to go to McGuires, be prepared for a bit of a wait if there not DEAD. My friends and I usually have our bday dinners there and the past several times, we have waited up to 3 hours (line, and to get food) And that was WITH reservations.
Bullshit. McGuires doesn't take reservations. If you don't want to wait at McGuires, join the IPC if you can get an invite or wait in one of the bars.

| Last time I checked LANDRY'S was a chain as well. You guys shouldn't tell people about Jerry's drive in, now we'll never get at table. Thanks!!!!! Joe Z's right, Paradise might have the best hamburger on the Gulf Coast.

| Winnie has sold Crazy Horse Cafe. Tara, Winnies daughter and chief cook will be leaving shortly. Hopefully the new owners will be able to talk Winnies husband into still making the ribs. Or at least teach the next "rib chef" how to do them. All of us regulars need to let the new owners know that we don't want any drastic changes! New owner is the Sandi Duncan look-a-like without the wayward eyeball. There is also a pretty good Phillipino eatery across the street from Hip Pocket Deli. Real good home cooked by two little ladies. Mcquires does take reservations for groups such as a company lunch, birthday groupd, etc. usually end up in the west end rooms behind the main bar.
