| left out of bayou texar at 630am...found a few small specks in the cut on our way out to the bay. we used doa's worked very slowly. from there we fished along the north shore finding fish here and there. we ended up catching a bakers dozen and kept a 3 lb and 1 lb speck for dinner. we had alot of fish flash at the baits but would never take them. sorry no pics to much fog! in the afternoon met up with jim and his family. fog lifted to a beautiful day. grays tackle was closed so i had to use yesterdays shrimp...peuwee!!!!! started trolling for spanish and jamie quickly got hooked up with a nice spanish...
we trolled alittle longer and decided to try the sheephead with our "fresh" shrimp. after alot of soaking the bite turned on. carley with a 5 lb sheep...
dad got into the action next...
after several more sheeps, squirrellfish and catfish we finnally ran out of bait. we kept all the squirrels and two sheeps and the spanish for a fry. all other sheep went back to be caught tommorrow...

Way to go Capt Wes. What do you use to troll for spanish? Hope to see you out there before long. Have you fished the Perdido Bay lately? Jim
