| This weekend is my only shot to overhaul my boat trailer. I may be packing bearings in the garage and getting wet doing the rest.

Downtime2 (4/4/2008) Looks like a brown water afternoon to me......Is that "brown water" on the rocks or mixed with coke??

retying all my rods braid to floro with the Bimini to Yucatan knots. Found that to be best. Tying kings rigs, tightening up the yak equipment for offshore fishing "Kayak Wars" have started. Having a couple Leffe Blonds and Warstiner Dunkle or four. Although I've got a handle of that brown water that looks awful tempting....

VS200B (4/4/2008) if ya can't stand the heat (rain) stay outta the kitchen (pier)
I would come join you guys, but I've heard horror stories of a non pier fisherman like myself coming out there and hooking up a cobe....that's how my luck seems to go. I'd hook up on a nice cobia and get cussed and spit on the whole time I was fighting it. Guess when it's raining would be a good time...already got my slickers on.

| My last day of vacation, just finished a week of honey-do's so I could free up my weekends for fishing. Thanks for the tile laying invite, but I just laid 3 rooms of hardwood flooring, I don't want to get back on my knees for a while. But I think I will just sit on my and think about .

are pier cobia fishermen the only people who know about FOUL WEATHER GEAR??? Pier rats and cows, too dumb to come in outa the rain.... I'm not a pier rat or a cow. I figure that the fish are already wet, so why would they care if it's raining. My foul weather gear consists of a baseball cap and a hand towel.

Hey, thanks for all the info you sent... I looked up Laikon, as well as a few other restaurants in that area. I believe The Soup Kitchen is no more... closed for almost 10 years now. You ever hear of Buzz Bar? It's supposed to be a new blues spot on Larned St. And yeah, it'll be time for diving when I get back!!

| We are going to spend the day NOT burning deisel while getting our butts kicked. Pulled two little fish off a turtle yesterday and lost both before they got to the boat. Got a golf ball sized egg on my shoulder trying to get in the tower in that crap and 4 out of 5 kids got sea sick. Besides, I dreamed about blue water fishing and my first Van Halen concert last nite. Thanks Wade.
