| I need to pull the lower unit off my johnson. I took all the bolts out but the lower unit wont drop down. Any suggestions. I've changed many water pumps on my merc and 2 on my other johnson. but this one isnt comming off like the others. thanks in advance.

did you disconnect the shift shaft under the carbs?

| no i cant figure out how. on my other johnson there was a bolt that went through it. this one looks like its just one piece. theres no bolt

| ok figured it out. but i have a problem see today my motor quit peeing well it would pee when we were moving but at an idle it wasnt. so i figured the impeller was bad. but it looks brand new. i just changed it in jan. any sugestions?

| thought that to so i took it out and its still doing it. i have another motor that is the same so i'm thinking of pullin the lower unit off that one and putting it on and seeing what happens

Your water pressure bypass may be stuck open. You can try blowing compressed air in the pee hole while the engine is running.
